About Me

My Name is Eugene Aldrein C. Paglicawan. I am also known as Kiko.

I am a graduate of De La Salle – College of St. Benilde, one of the leading arts and design schools in the Philippines. I was in the Dean’s List from 2006 – 2007 and I graduated with a GPA of 3.069 (out of 4.0)

I am a Creative Designer and Multimedia Artist with around nine years of experience in the field of Multimedia Arts, Graphic Design, Layout and Packaging Design. I’m currently based in Australia under a Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491).

My experience in the industry has made me into a well rounded, agile and flexible designer. I’m able to make a concept into a design, then apply that design into various sizes, media and formats. I also implement ideas that help tracks jobs and improve workflow, and I am also to communicate with both my colleagues and clients to get the job done. My experience has also enabled me to work fast and being able to sustain despite being under pressure.

It is my passion as a designer to create designs that are not only pleasing to the eye but are functional as well. I also believe in ensuring that every job that I do is sent correctly and on time. I am willing to go the extra mile to ensure this so that I can satisfy my clientele.

Graphic Design

Multimedia

My knowledge in multimedia has given me experience in doing audio-visual work. I can do photography and videography. I can also set up lighting and props, do the actual shoot and edit photos, videos and audio.

Layout Design

My experience in layout design enables me to apply a design to different sizes and platforms. I can also ensure that branding is consistently applied on all materials in a work.

Digital Content and Marketing Producer at YWCA Canberra

Canberra, Australia · September 2024 – Current

Reporting to the Director of Communications, Advocacy & Engagement; I work within the Communication, Advocacy and Engagement Portfolio of YWCA Canberra. I’m currently responsible for producing digital content for the company’s communication channels, including social media and eDMs, developing content to graphics, managing social media scheduling software, and publishing to the YWCA Canberra’s various run websites.

For digital content, I mainly create social media tiles via Canva and help schedule them through Buffer. I also update content for our various websites through WordPress and Elementor. For offline content, I prepare printed materials through Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.

Dubai, UAE · April 2021 – June 2024

I handled online and offline materials for some of our clients. My current clientele include BIC, MAC Cosmetics, L’oreal, La Roche Posay, Vichy, Cerave, Kiehl’s, Yamaha and many more.

For online materials, I handled static and motion ads for social media. For offline materials, I made creative designs, prepare final artworks for printing; and making 3D mockups and actual layout files for point of purchase displays as well as packaging.

Singapore · March 2017 – December 2020
I handled creative and print materials for some of our BAU clients. My clients include Starbucks Coffee, Bayer (Redoxon, Clarityn and Berocca), Inova Pharmaceuticals, Vitagen and many more.

During my stint as a Creative Designer, I helped initiate a system of that tracks the progress of our jobs, as well as monitoring job numbers and files via google docs. I also liaised with our clients with their creative and printing needs, and created designs mainly for print and POP displays.

Multimedia Artist at Standard Insurance Co Inc

Philippines · January 2014 – June 2017
I created graphic, motion, video and photo assets for the company; part of this is making marketing materials in the form of flyers, brochures, tarpaulins, and Sintra boards; I also created audiovisual presentations in video format, as well as documentation through photography and videography.

I also helped in liaising with the other branches to help provide marketing files to various branches and departments and assisted in company events.

I created static and motion ads using Flash for US and Canada based online newspapers. I also did a few video ads (in the form of Jivox) and mobile microsites (in the form of Mofuse) as well.

Philippines · February 2011 – February 2012
I created digital graphic materials, Flash animation, coding and 3D animations for e-learning modules to be used for company personnel training. Our clients were mainly based in the Netherlands and the Philippines. Clients include ERIKS nv, Bijenkorf, TNT/PostNL, ASL, EastWest Bank and more.
